Jeanne Rabel
My name is Jeanne Rabel, and I am currently a studying to be a K-12 certified School Counselor at the University of Scranton. I received my undergraduate degree in Counseling and Human Services from Scranton in 2012. I completed two internships during my undergraduate program, which helped me understand my passion for school counseling and helping students succeed. Upon graduating with my Master's degree in Spring 2014, I look forward to working as a professional school counselor.
I believe learning is a life-long journey, and I value the opportunity to gain knowledge and awareness. All students are entitled to a quality education to prepare them for life beyond high school. I believe all students have the ability to achieve and pursue their dreams.
Personally, I love spending time with my family and friends. I love to read, and some of my favorite books include the Harry Potter series, Band of Brothers and Man's Search for Meaning. I love to travel. My favorite places include Washington, D.C., Cooperstown, NY and Seaside Heights, NJ. I find inspiration from quotes and lyrics, and I like to keep a list of my favorites.

I believe in the Jesuit philosophy of being "men and women for others." I have been privileged to volunteer with many populations in a variety of service-learning and community volunteer opportunities. I believe all individuals have a story to tell, and I love learning about the experiences of others. My favorite volunteer opportunities include the Gino Merli Veteran's Center, Jane Kopas Women's Center, and my spring break services trips to Hurley, VA and Washington, D.C.
